We Celebrated Our Nurses in Style!

National Nurses Week is an annual celebration from May 6 to May 12, when we take special time to recognize the hard work and dedication of nurses around the world, especially the nurses at the Daughters of Sarah Community for Seniors.

During this week, we remind our nurses how grateful we are for their tireless efforts and for being an integral part of the team, acknowledging the challenges our nurses face on a daily basis. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the critical role nurses play along with the risks and challenges they face. Our nurses have been on the front lines of the pandemic, providing care and support to our residents while putting their own health at risk.

Join us in thanking our nurses for all they do.

Watch our video of our various Nurses Week activities, including a recognition ceremony with gifts, special signage, Make-Your-Own-Nachos party (after all, our nurses are Nacho Average Nurses!), an ice cream truck visit, and COVID pinatas so our nurses – and residents – could get a little exercise. Perhaps most importantly, we were finally able to remove our masks after three long years of fighting against a global pandemic.

What a Week!
