Tips on Volunteering for Our Community

Volunteering is a vital part of our vibrant community for seniors, and we welcome individuals who wish to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Whether you have a talent to share, a passion for giving back, or a desire to connect with our residents, we offer a variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities that cater to diverse interests and skills. Most of these opportunities are currently only available at the Massry Residence.

Gardening Group: at the Massry Residence

If you have a green thumb and love spending time outdoors, join our gardening team to help with our garden on the back patio. We have herbs, vegetables, and flowers for you to nurture. Our Gardening Group’s efforts will sustain a thriving, beautiful garden that will make some tasty meals.

Knitting Circle: at the Massry Residence

If you have a flair for knitting and enjoy crafting heartwarming gifts, our Knitting Circle is the perfect place to contribute your skills. Join us as we create cozy scarves and hats for family and friends, bringing warmth and comfort to their days. The Knitting Circle is also a wonderful opportunity to forge connections and share stories with fellow knitting enthusiasts.

Library Help: at the Massry Residence

If you have an eye for organization and a love for books, you can help us maintain our library’s collection. Organizing books and ensuring proper shelving are valuable contributions that enrich the library experience for our residents.

Everyone has unique expertise to share, and our residents are always eager to learn from new perspectives.
