Beloved Volunteer Talks about Quality at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center



The American Association of Homes and Services for Aged (AAHSA) asked the question, "What is quality?" with regard to long-term care and the lives of those who need it. In response, Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center Administrator and COO Joan Healey asked former family member, resident and beloved volunteer, Ida Leberman, how she thinks about quality in her own life now that she is living in her own apartment unaffiliated with Daughters of Sarah, and how she experienced it at Daughters of Sarah.

Ida's husband, Sol Leberman, spent months in the nursing center's Greatdays Adult Day Health Program during the day from Monday - Friday. As his care needs increased, he lived at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center for several years, and Ida was with him at the Nursing Center every day. Later, Ida came to the Rehabilitation Center at Daughters of Sarah for her own healing.
