• Provide the cantor for the High Holy Days and Passover
• Purchase prayer books, tallitot, Shabbat candlesticks and other Jewish religious objects for use by Jewish residents.
• Support Jewish cultural programming.
• Obtain and present holiday gifts.

• New resident dining room furniture, which allowed wheelchairs to fit closer to tables, and other furnishings.
• New electric beds and other specialized equipment for residents.
• An annual commitment to pay the salaries of extra CNAs, who perform the daily resident care.

The Foundation has also undertaken major capital campaigns and fundraising events to support the Senior Community. Exceeding its targeted goal, the Foundation through its “Legacy of Caring” Capital and Endowment Campaign from 2000 – 2005 raised funds for an expansion and renovation project, including:

• Renovation of the Nursing Center.
• Building The Massry Residence, which won an award for its design as an assisted living residence.
• The 36-bed Golub Family Memory Enhancement Center.
• Establishment of the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Endowment Fund to provide financial assistance to people in need of assisted living care who cannot afford the full fee at The Massry Residence assisted living facility.
